Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty in Wilmington and its Topsail Island and Sneads Ferry offices donated recently to the Wounded Warriors Christmas Leave Program, which enabled injured Marines and soldiers travel home for the holidays.
The company and its “Topsail Team” offices contributed $1,250 to help pay travel expenses for service members from Camp Lejeune and Fort Bragg who are recovering from war injuries. The program is sponsored by the Military Order of the Purple Heart and benefited approximately 125 Marines and 64 soldiers this year, according to the group’s website www.wwclp.org.
Also, a group of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty associates and managers recently purchased and donated new pillows and towels to Wilmington’s Open Gate Domestic Violence Shelter.
Carol Mazur, career development manager for Sea Coast Realty, organized the effort after learning of the shelter’s need for the items, which need periodic replacement. Others involved with the project were Sea Coast sales associates Tricia Urban, Melanie Bertrand, Bailey Hall, Jennifer Farmer, and Linda Blackburn, along with Lenora Norris, broker-in-charge of the Wilmington Office; Carolyn Thomason, assistant to the president of Sea Coast Realty; and Kendee Blake of Alpha Mortgage, preferred mortgage company at Sea Coast Realty.
