Jacksonville Homes

Normally, the winter months are a pretty slow time in the real estate business.  While the weather has been cold outside this year, the real estate market has been getting hotter and hotter.

In January 2009, homebuyers toured Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty listings 2,757 times!  That’s a whopping 72% increase from the previous month.  The number of showings is expected to grow even more over the next few months.

Our real estate professionals say that there are lots of homebuyers hunting for homes earlier than usual this year, so that they can take advantage of the homebuyer tax credit before the April 30, 2010 deadline.  First-time homebuyers are eligible for an $8,000 tax credit.  Homeowners that have been in their current home for the last 5 years are also eligible for a $6,500 tax credit.  In addition, real estate agents say that there are lots of investors and folks looking for second homes out looking for great properties at a bargain price.

If you are considering selling your home, it’s smart to contact a Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty agent today.  Our real estate professionals in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, and Onslow counties will expertly market your home, so that it will get the attention it deserves and sell for the most money.

An ideal community environment for me would be one where the population spans all age groups, and recreation for all those age groups creates interaction, sharing and caring communities.  To me it always seems like beach communities offer what I enjoy, surf, sand, beach and good food.  Jacksonville NC in Onslow County is one of those communities.  Also Sneeds Ferry provides quiet living in an area that’s close to the nightlife and amenities to make it a community consideration.

Jacksonville is one of the fastest growing cities in Onslow County. Home to more than 70,000 residents, the city boasts of collaborative interaction of the government, businesses and citizens for solving public issues and shared problems. It is also home to the Marine Corps Air Station New River and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Jacksonville real estate offers affordable houses and properties in a growing city. It is also very close to many tourist attractions – family, military, sports, and more. If you are looking at buying a home you can also check out Camp Lejeune real estate for bargain deals.

With lots to offer, Onslow County features 30 miles of beaches full of activity.  Jacksonville, the commercial center of the county, is the youngest city in the U.S.  This Inner Bank region of North Carolina is home to almost 70,000 people in this 45 square mile city.  With a zoo, raceway, country clubs, libraries, and recreation centers to visit you will never run out of things to keep you entertained.  Jacksonville NC real estate is a definite consideration if you are looking for a coastal city feel.

Also home to Onslow County is the quaint town of Holly Ridge, NC.  If you’d rather relocate to somewhere less busy than Jacksonville but close to the action, then Holly Ridge is the place for you.  With less than 1,200 residents you are sure to get a small town feel.  Holly Ridge real estate is growing, adding new subdivisions to its friendly community.  Life is simplistic in Holly Ridge, but a prime location to the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Home of the military’s Camp Davis in the 1940’s, the town of Holly Ridge, NC went from 28 residents reaching a high of nearly 110,000. Part of the Jacksonville, NC Metropolitian Area, Holly Ridge is primarily residential area with current population of around 830. Although there is no water area within the 1.37 square miles of land, beach access lies less than five miles away. According to Trulia, the average listing price of Holly Ridge real estate is $241, 914 with a median sales price of $166,000. Accessible to the major cities of Wilmington and Jacksonville to the north and south, the town is rapidly with new subdivisions being added. Check out more Jacksonville NC real estate.
