Tucked away just below Wilmington and the mouth of the Cape Fear River and just 45 minutes or so above the South Carolina state line you’ll find Southport.  Southport reflects southern charm, but is close enough to Wilmington with the colleges, shopping, dining and nightlife.  In addition, Myrtle Beach is about 65 miles south.
