Agents and Staff “Never Stop Moving” in Wilmington YMCA Triathlon
Posted by Sea Coast Ashley | Real Estate in the news , Realtor , Sea Coast Realty , Wilmington NC Real Estate , Wilmington North Carolina , Wrightsville Beach , Wrightsville Beach Real Estate , coldwell bankerNo Comments
The race began in Wrightsville Beach with a 1,500 meter swim through Banks Channel. The next portion of the race was a 20 kilometer (12.4 mile) bicycle route that wound through Wilmington and returned to Wrightsville Beach. Then the race concluded with a five kilometer (3.1 mile) run along Wrightsville Beach’s popular “loop”.
Most of the Sea Coast team was participating in a triathlon for the first time, including agent Melanie Cameron. “A group from the office has been training for about four months now. We’ve been swimming the channel at Wrightsville Beach all summer and I’ve been running and biking on my own to get ready,” she said. Director of Business Development Brian Moxey, a triathlon veteran, says that running a triathlon and a real estate career are not that different. “The reward of finishing a race is very similar to closing a transaction, but it’s also similar because people don’t see all the preparation and hard work that an agent goes through to get there. There’s a lot of grunt work involved before you ever get to the big day.”
Whether they are swimming, biking, and running to the finish line or helping folks buy and sell homes, these hard-working real estate professionals “never stop moving.” Learn more about how to make Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty part of your winning team at seacoastrealty.com.

Agents and Staff Make Donation to Fund Water Sports for Disabled
Posted by Sea Coast Ashley | Realtor , Sea Coast Realty , Wilmington North CarolinaNo Comments
Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty agents and staff recently donated $1,115 to the Wilmington Disabled Athletic Association’s Adaptive Water Sports Day. The donations will help fund an annual event that allows people with disabilities, like spinal cord injuries, to participate in water sports including kayaking and water skiing. This year’s event will be held on today from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Mason Landing Yacht Club in Wilmington.
“We usually have about seven to ten skiers and a few more on the kayaks that we take out, which takes a full day to do. We usually have four jet skis, two load boats, a taxi boat, and the coast guard boat that helps us control the waterway. We have skiers that are amputees, blind, have spinal cord injuries and developmental disabilities,” said volunteer and Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty agent Tom Shoaf.
Shoaf has helped out with the event for the past five years. Before becoming a real estate professional, he worked in the physical therapy field for almost nine years. “Helping others to overcome their fears and disabilities has always been very rewarding. Just to see the smiles and excitement on their faces is worth the effort,” he said.
For more information about Adaptive Water Sports Day, please contact Tom Shoaf at tomshoaf@seacoastrealty.com or (910) 294-2214.

Onslow County Offers Great History And Great Real Estate Values
Posted by admin | Jacksonville Homes , Sea Coast Realty , SouthportNo Comments
An ideal community environment for me would be one where the population spans all age groups, and recreation for all those age groups creates interaction, sharing and caring communities. To me it always seems like beach communities offer what I enjoy, surf, sand, beach and good food. Jacksonville NC in Onslow County is one of those communities. Also Sneeds Ferry provides quiet living in an area that’s close to the nightlife and amenities to make it a community consideration.
